CARPET BEETLES
The carpet beetle is a native Australian, inconspicuous and small. The adults are strong fliers and enter buildings and initiate an infestation in dust in cracks and crevices, especially in carpets along walls and under infrequently moved furniture. They will also attack stored woollen fabrics and furs.

Eggs are laid in November – January, hatch in 1-2 weeks. The larvae are fast moving and feed voraciously all year round. It is the larvae stage that is so destructive to carpets and furniture.
